6. Kids tour – Planica

On Sunday, May 28, 2023, we successfully concluded the final race of the Snowboard Kids Tour series. Young snowboarders competed in the FUNCROSS discipline. The race featured 14 dedicated competitors, divided into 6 categories (girls, boys 2017+; girls, boys 2014–2016; boys 2011–2013; boys 2008–2010). Due to poor weather conditions, the race, originally scheduled at Kanin, had to be postponed twice. In the end, we successfully held it at the Nordic Center Planica. The course included gates, two berms, and three rollers. Competitors had three runs, with the fastest time counting. After the race, which also marked the final event of the Kids Tour 2022/23 series, we announced the race winners as well as the overall series champions. The series winners received trophies. The children were absolutely thrilled and jumped for joy. To wrap up the event, we enjoyed a picnic with ćevapčići and indulged in cake. The race was special for the kids, as many of them were snowboarding in the summer for the first time, not on an open ski slope.
